The Pride Cup in Orlando, Florida, was an unforgettable celebration of athleticism, community, and pride! Held the first weekend in June 2024, the start of Pride season, The Pride Cup is a multisport weekend that brings together LGBTQ athletes and allies nationwide. This vibrant event is more than just a competition; it’s a platform to showcase talent, build connections, and honor the spirit of inclusivity. From basketball courts to soccer fields and everything in between, athletes competed passionately, embodying the spirit of unity and resilience that defines the LGBTQ sports community.
To all the players who participated in The Pride Cup 2024, thank you for your energy, enthusiasm, and incredible sportsmanship. Whether you traveled from near or far, your dedication to your sport and support for one another made this event truly special. Your hard work, camaraderie, and pride were evident in every game and interaction. We are so grateful to have shared this extraordinary weekend with you and look forward to cheering you on at future events.
We also want to thank The Pride Cup team for allowing the United States Pride Basketball Association (USPBA) to host the basketball event as part of this phenomenal weekend. Your commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming space for LGBTQ athletes is inspiring, and we are honored to have been a part of it.
